Joseph Gussler, MD

About

Dr. Joseph Gussler received his undergraduate at Vanderbilt University and went on to pursue his degree in medicine at the University of Louisville. Dr. Gussler completed his residency and fellowship in cornea at the University of Kentucky. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Gussler relocated to Savannah and joined Georgia Eye Institute in 1994. Dr. Gussler is the current President of Georgia Eye Institute of the Southeast and serves as Medical Director of Georgia Eye Institute Surgery Center.

Dr. Gussler specializes in cornea and is one of the only surgeons in the greater Savannah area to perform the DSEK procedure. Dr. Gussler is an active member in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Savannah Society of Ophthalmology.
